The Dancing Divorcée is a Colorado based, women-run nonprofit dedicated to producing transformative mixed-arts performance experiences that raise funds to help women safely and confidently leave their marriages by covering legal costs and support services.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every woman has the financial freedom, emotional support, and community care needed to reclaim her life and rewrite her story.

We envision a world where every woman, regardless of financial circumstance, can safely leave an unhealthy marriage and step into a life of autonomy, confidence, and joy. Through bold, healing-centered arts and accessible support, we strive to transform divorce from an isolating crisis into a pathway of empowerment, community, and renewed identity.

Our Theory

1. Problem: Women often stay in unsafe, unhealthy, or restrictive marriages because they cannot afford legal support.

2. What We Do: Produce high-quality dance + multimedia shows to raise money and awareness.

3. What Happens: Ticket sales → grant funds directly pay women’s divorce legal fees.

4. Outcome: Women gain independence, safety, emotional healing, and access to life-changing resources.

5. Long-Term Impact: Reduced stigma, increased empowerment, generational healing.
